The World Cup doesn't even feel that long ago, but next week England will embark on a new season as they get their Nations League campaign underway in the first international break.Â
The Three Lions face four games in this newly scheduled window, starting with a mouth-watering encounter with world champions Spain at Wembley to open their Nations League group.Â
With Thomas Tuchel set to name his first post-World Cup squad on Friday, DAZN News looks at the names who could make the cut this time around.Â
Scotland and Wales named parties of 28 earlier this week. If the England boss follows suit, we could see several news names involved in the Three Lions' quartet of games.
That obviously means more opportunities for those who missed out on the World Cup, and there's expected to be several heavy hitters coming back into the fold.Â
Chief among them will be Cole Palmer, who was controversially left out of the summer fun, but looks to be back fit and in good form for Chelsea in these early weeks of the season.Â

Phil Foden is another who could get an international reprieve having missed out, giving Thomas Tuchel plenty of options in that attacking third, especially if he adds Rio Ngumoha again, too.Â
Morgan Gibbs-White and Adam Wharton were two names some thought England could have done with in North America, so could either one of those be included once again?Â
The search for Harry Kane's successor will be a big theme going forward, and given Dominic Calvert-Lewin's start to the season, he could have another shot at proving his worth.Â
As for the defence, without the injured Dan Burn and a lack of minutes for John Stones, there's scope for Lewis Hall to come back into the frame and even Levi Colwill, who is now back fit at Stamford Bridge, or Jarrad Branthwaite.Â
A new season also brings opportunities for new faces, too, and Tuchel has already hinted that he is looking forward to working with England's next crop of young stars.Â
Would it be too much to read into by suggesting that Max Dowman could be one of those? Especially as the manager has already spoken about looking at the Arsenal teenager after the World Cup.Â
Alex Scott is one more likely, given he's already been called up under the German and could look to win his first cap if included once again.Â
Is there room for a rogue call? Leif Davis at Ipswich has started the season very well and could bring an alternative option at left-back, while Archie Gray could be another under consideration.Â
GettyThe injury list will see Jordan Henderson, Burn and Ben White miss out, but there could be other names sweating on their inclusion.Â
Jarrod Bowen's decision to stay at West Ham will be tested if he isn't part of the England plans going forward, as will Ollie Watkins' move to Saudi Arabia.Â
In the end, it never hindered Ivan Toney, but you get the feeling the former Brentford man was included in the summer for a specific reason rather than being a consistent option - and the same theme could be applied to Watkins.Â

Then there's the question mark of Kobbie Mainoo. A player who went to the World Cup but played no minutes throughout the tournament, giving off the impression that maybe Tuchel didn't like what he saw.Â
We'll find out whether that is true if the Manchester United man remains part of the squad.Â
The last casualty of the first squad will sadly be Djed Spence, who won't be able to follow up his World Cup heroics, as he hasn't kicked a ball in anger since his move to Inter.Â
