An abundance of the world's best players will be on show when the FIFA Club World Cup kicks off this weekend, as thirty-two teams from across the globe compete in the newly revamped tournament.
Among those sides, there will be twelve European teams heading to the USA, with the likes of Real Madrid, new European champions PSG and Manchester City among the favourites to take home the trophy.
Each of the European teams contains a litany of world-class talent, but which stars would make it into an all-star line-up?

Ever since he was catapulted into the history books as Italy's victorious shotstopper at Euro 2020, the former AC Milan star has had something of a hit-and-miss career in France.
But this season under Luis Enrique, Donnarumma has underscored why he is considered one of the greatest goalkeepers on the planet right now with some superlative saves.
A crucial part for PSG as they marched to a continental treble, he made history as the club lifted the UEFA Champions League for the first time, and is rightfully earning plaudits.

The Morocco international - one of the first African players to reach the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup - was neck-and-neck with Denzel Dumfries for this spot last month.
But then, the pair met in the UEFA Champions League Final, where the former opened the scoring for his side as they romped to a 5-0 victory in Munich against Inter.
Hakimi is the rare outside back gifted with offensive nous and defensive mettle. Trent Alexander-Arnold, poised for Real Madrid, runs him close - but right now, he has the edge.

Amid a particularly woeful season for Pep Guardiola's side - empty-handed for the first time in almost a decade, at home and in Europe - their star defender has carried the weight.
With a slew of injuries forcing a frequent reshuffle among the pack, Dias has shuttled across the backline, bringing consistency to the back half of the campaign as City recovered.
The loss of Rodri in the middle may have been fatal to their silverware prospects, but the Portuguese star underlined his strength and place among Europe's leading centre-backs.

The holy grail has been a long time coming for the Brazil international, but fresh from skippering his side to a maiden UEFA Champions League triumph, he is cresting a wave too.
Veteran Marquinhos may not be the flashiest defensive pick in the book amid some star-studded teams this summer, but his guile has guided PSG to their greatest-ever glories.
Injuries to stars like Antonio Rudiger at Real Madrid and the absence of contenders like Virgil van Dijk and Liverpool mean that he has the chance to stand out on a bigger stage.
PSG
The stats may back up Manchester City's Josko Gvardiol as best-in-show across the Premier League this season - but it is the Blues star who we feel has the edge in America.
A Euro 2024 winner with Spain, and fresh off helping Chelsea to UEFA Champions League qualification and the UEFA Conference League title, Cucurella is growing his game.
Critics have noted that he can often appear as something of a defensive show pony, but there has been an increased grit and intelligence to his performances that will help here.

It has been a season to forget for the Ballon d'Or winner - namely because it never really got going after another Premier League triumph and then the glories of Euro 2024 too.
For years, City and Guardiola have driven their creative fluency through Rodri, shifting Kevin De Bruyne's place and effectively curtailing Kalvin Phillips at the peak of his game.
His absence was keenly felt, but having returned late in the campaign - and with the possibility to be fresher than most stars - his sheer class could prove a crucial intervention.

It has not quite been the sophomore season many expected for England's most charismatic young player, struggling to build on the success of his first year with Los Blancos.
Still, irrespective of silverware, Bellingham is likely one of the ten best players in world football right now, and he will be vital to ensuring their progress in the United States.
His partnership with Kylian Mbappe has slowly grown to bear fruit, and if the pair can play off each other here, they could be in for a highly successful tournament together.

Back to his best when they needed him most, "Cold" Palmer delivered on the stage in the UEFA Conference League final to drive the Blues to another major European trophy.
If they are to make it a continental double, fans will hope that the England international remembers his best boots and comes back from Three Lions duty in top shape too.
Palmer is arguably yet to reach his full potential too - a slightly scary prospect, given his ability to move a ball on a string - and could absolutely thrive under the spotlights here.

Surely the frontrunner for the Ballon d'Or after helping to fire the Ligue 1 giants to treble glory this term, the France international could make it a quadruple over the Atlantic Ocean.
Dembele averaged a goal every 83 minutes in the domestic top-flight this term, and was key to Europe, subsequently crowned UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.
He might be the most dangerous player on the planet right now, having delivered club glory to match his national honours - and he will be among the biggest attractions to see.

There's a blunt irony to the fact that PSG have become UEFA Champions League winners the moment their biggest prize walked out of the door to join Europe's biggest club.
But irrespective of early teething troubles in Spain, Mbappe is still one of the best players of the century thus far, and only a fool would write off his mercurial talent and drive.
With Jude Bellingham likely to be seeking a response behind him too, the France hero will hope to put a frustrating campaign behind him and fire Real Madrid to further glory.

After more than a decade as the biggest bridesmaid in European football, the England captain finally has his silverware flowers after a Bundesliga triumph in his second season.
If he performs like he did throughout the rest of the 2024-25 campaign again, Kane could yet double his tally of silverware by firing his side to glory in the United States too.
Erling Haaland's comparatively superb threat will be one to watch of course too, but when taken on the merits of current form, the Three Lions skipper looks the surer bet.
