League leaders Arsenal travel to their second-place neighbours in a top-of-the-table meeting on Sunday, with three points and local bragging rights at stake.

Chelsea 2-3 Arsenal - October 1999

The game which will always be remembered for Nwankwo Kanu's heroics.

Tore Andre Flo and Dan Petrescu both headed in to hand the Blues a two-goal cushion before Arsenal's Nigerian striker came to the fore in the second-half.

Kanu opened his account in the 75th minute before dragging the visitors level eight minutes later. 

In a tense finale, Kanu fired in from a tight angle to complete a 15-minute hat-trick and seal a famous comeback victory for the Gunners.

Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal - December 2006

Chelsea had claimed back-to-back titles and boasted an unbeaten home record under Jose Mourinho when Arsenal pitched up in SW6 in 2006.

New recruit Ashley Cole faced a hostile reception from the away end in his first appearance against his former employers, who edged in front late on through Mathieu Flamini.

The Blues poured forward in defiance with their unbeaten home record on the line and Michael Essien produced a stunning strike to ensure it remained intact.

Frank Lampard set the ball back for the Ghanian to fizz a fierce effort past Jens Lehmann and send Stamford Bridge into raptures.

Chelsea 3-5 Arsenal - October 2011

When the Robin van Persie show took centre stage in an eight-goal thriller in west London.

Frank Lampard handed the hosts the lead but Arsenal's Dutch talisman Van Persie pegged them back.

John Terry headed the Blues back in front on the stroke of half-time but Andre Santos pulled Arsenal level once again before Theo Walcott and Juan Mata traded goals to set up a thrilling climax.

Terry lost his footing to allow Van Persie to waltz clear and fire the Gunners into the lead before he sealed his hat-trick in injury time.

Chelsea 6-0 Arsenal - March 2014

Arsene Wenger's 1000th game in charge of Arsenal was an occasion to forget for the Frenchman.

The Gunners were two down inside seven sun-drenched minutes after goals by Samuel Eto'o and Andre Schurrle, before Kieran Gibbs was incorrectly sent off in a case of mistaken identity following Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's handball. 

Eden Hazard converted the subsequent penalty before Oscar bagged twice and Mohamed Salah added the gloss to a famous Chelsea win.

Wenger's frustration boiled over, meanwhile, as he and Jose Mourinho exchanged a few choice words in the dugout as the latter claimed his biggest Premier League win as Chelsea boss.

Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal - February 2017

Eden Hazard's solo finish will be remembered as one of the finest goals in the Premier League era.

The diminutive Belgian picked up the ball inside his own half before gliding past red and white shirts and driving the ball past Petr Cech.

Hazard shrugged off Laurent Koscielny and floored a helpless Francis Coquelin before beating the recovering Koscielny for a second time en route to goal.

Marcos Alonso had opened the scoring, while Cesc Fabregas added further misery to his former side late on before Olivier Giroud claimed a last-gasp consolation for Arsenal.
