Team news

Fluminense FC have impressed throughout their time in the States, with the Tricolor finishing the group stage unbeaten before sinking UEFA Champions League runners-up FC Internazionale Milano in the last 16 and Al Hilal in the quarter-finals. Flu will take on the English giants without the suspended Juan Pablo Freytes and midfielder Martinelli, but they can welcome back Rene after he served a one-game ban.

In the blue corner, Chelsea FC entered these finals after winning their first UEFA Conference League and know victory in the States would complete their trophy haul. While they fell to CR Flamengo in the groups, victories over LAFC and Espérance sent them through to the second round. Once there, they hammered fellow European outfit SL Benfica before squeezing by Palmeiras to set up a third Brazilian bout.

They may need to tackle the Tricolor without captain Reece James, who was withdrawn from the starting XI to face Palmeiras late on with a knock, while Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia will also need to be assessed. Enzo Maresca will definitely be without Liam Delap and Levi Colwill, though, with the pair suspended for the semi-final, but he can welcome back midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Chelsea: Sanchez; Gusto, Chalobah, Adarabioyo, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez (C); Neto, Palmer, Madueke; Jackson.
