Team news

CR Flamengo have been one the best performers at the FIFA Club World Cup. The Rio side are flying high having defeated Chelsea FC 3-1 in their previous match and Filipe Luis' men enter their last group game with first place in Group D already secured. Flamengo will next play the runner-up from Group C on Sunday 29 June in Miami.

Even victory will not see LAFC progress to the knockout stage. The American side are already eliminated from the competition, but three points on home soil would allow the Angelinos to exit the tournament on a high.

What they said...

"This competition is really special for all of us. What used to be just friendlies are now games where you play everything. It's an honor to be here and to be able to represent a country like Brazil. The organization is perfect. Our fans are really everywhere. Since I've played here I've always seen them support the club in every part of the world. The players are very united with the fans, as well as among themselves. The support of the people also helps a lot in our way of playing.

Tomorrow will be a very difficult match against LAFC, because they have so many qualities, especially offensively, with great players. If we keep our standard of play high we can win. I will make some choices tomorrow but I will field the best team possible. It's nice to have such a large roster, there is competition between the players and this raises the level of the team."
Filipe Luis, Flamengo coach

"We can't wait to play this match, we want to close this journey well against a great team like Flamengo. They have a really important squad and it will be a very difficult challenge for us, also considering the atmosphere that will be in the stadium with so many Brazilian fans."
Steve Cherundolo, LAFC coach

Originally opened almost 90 years ago, Camping World Stadium has undergone multiple expansions and re-fits in the intervening years, culminating in the 2014 redevelopment which saw the creation of a 90 per cent all-new stadium following an investment of over $200 million. A host of sporting, entertainment and musical events have taken place at the Orlando venue, with The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and Elton John all taking to the stage, while WrestleMania XXIV wowed a venue-record crowd of 74,635 in 2008.
