Former Real Madrid midfielder and World Cup winner Sami Khedira believes manager Luis Enrique's ability to create a team spirit at Paris Saint-Germain has been the key reason for their transformation into a footballing powerhouse.
Since majority owners Qatar Sports Investments arrived in 2011, PSG were not afraid to flex their financial muscles and brought some superstar players to the French capital.
Lionel Messi, Neymar, Edinson Cavani and homegrown talent Kylian Mbappe all took to the pitch at the Parc des Princes, but while PSG dominated on the domestic front, they often struggled to win the one trophy which they craved, the UEFA Champions League.

This all changed at the end of the 2024/25 season however when under manager Luis Enrique, PSG thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 to lift the European Cup for the first time in the club's history.
In two seasons, Enrique has made PSG a cohesive unit without a team sheet full of star names and he will be hoping to continue this success on the biggest stage when the Ligue 1 champions begin their Club World Cup campaign against Atletico Madrid tonight live and free on DAZN.
Speaking after Inter Miami's 0-0 draw with Al Ahly, Khedira looked ahead to this all-European showdown and had plenty of praise for the changes Enrique has brought to PSG in order to win the club's first major piece of European silverware.
"Luis Enrique is completely changing the style and mentality of the club," Khedira told DAZN.
"PSG always bought the best players, maybe the most expensive players, but now he’s changed it.
"They sold Messi, they sold Neymar, they sold Mbappe, maybe the best players in the world, but he has created a team spirit.
"That’s why they are hungry, they are physically strong, but they have control."
