It's now three straight draws for Manchester City after the team's 1-1 stalemate against visiting Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday, and Jeremy Doku says the result was not good enough.
The Sky Blues are chasing Arsenal in the Premier League title race, and the Gunners have won five in a row to maintain their place atop the standings amid furious pursuit from Man City and Aston Villa. Meanwhile, every Man City draw during that stretch has led to a lengthening of the Gunners' lead, which now sits at five points with Arsenal set to host Liverpool on Thursday.
Doku, who played the full match for City on Wednesday, registered his disappointment in the team's latest performance, as Brighton fought back from a first-half deficit to escape Etihad Stadium with a point.
"A draw at home is never really a good point," Doku told Sky Sports moments after the final whistle. "We are not that happy and would've preferred three points.
"On another day we score [another goal]. It's a bit similar to the other two games we drew. Today is a point. We need to score really clear chances. If you do, it's a different story."
With Arsenal possibly extending their lead to eight points on Thursday, the Sky Blues know that they have an uphill battle to catch the high-flying league leaders.
However, Doku says his team won't be too focused on what happens elsewhere - instead looking to find ways to win their own games more consistently.
"We don't really look at the table," he said. "We try to be ourselves, score more goals."
