Monterrey will be one of several Liga MX outfits looking to translate continental glory into international success when they compete at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup .
The Mexican outfit will enter as relative underdogs however despite their success, having been drawn in a group which offers some intriguing clashes.
With top-tier opposition from three other confederations around the globe to contend with, they will need to make a fast start on the west coast if they are to succeed.

How did Monterrey qualify for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup?
Monterrey are one of five CONCACAF teams competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and qualify as the winners of the 2021 CONCACAF Champions League.
This will mark their sixth time at the tournament, having finished third on two prior occasions, at the 2012 and 2019 editions of the competition.
2025 FIFA Club World Cup: Monterrey schedule
Monterrey have been drawn into Group E , alongside Inter Milan ( Italy ), River Plate ( Argentina ) and Urawa Red Diamonds ( Japan ).
In order to reach the knockout stages, they must first successfully navigate this opening stage where the top two teams from each group will qualify.

When is the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup?
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will begin on Saturday, June 14 when Inter Miami takes on Al Ahly FC at Hard Rock Stadium with the final scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at MetLife Stadium.

In total 32 teams will be competing at the Club World Cup with all international federations represented.
Inter Miami have also been give a place at the tournament as a result of the United States being the hosts.
