After the most dramatic climax to a National League , or quite frankly any league, season in history, focus now switches to the play-offs , which are available to watch live and exclusively on DAZN.

Rochdale's dramatic final-day draw with York City means they will compete in the lottery alongside Carlisle United , Boreham Wood, Scunthorpe United , Southend United and Forest Green Rovers .

With the fifth-tier play-offs working differently from the Football League, there will be two one-leg eliminators this week, involving the sides that finished between fourth and seventh.

Then, the victors will set up a one-leg semi-final with the clubs that finished second and third in early May before the final at Wembley Stadium later that month.

But which teams are set to do battle this week?  DAZN News   takes a closer look at what is on offer.

Scunthorpe United vs. Southend United

  • Date: Tuesday, April 28
  • Time: 7.45pm (Available to watch live on DAZN)

Just one point separated Scunthorpe and Southend at the end of the regular season, and now they face off in a winner-takes-all play-off clash on Tuesday night.

The Iron have home advantage as they finished fifth and are vying for a second successive promotion, having won the National League North play-offs last term.

Andy Butler's side were defeated 1-0 by Eastleigh on the final day of the campaign and have only won one of their last five games.

As for Southend, they will be hellbent on avenging their play-off heartbreak from last season, having lost on penalties to Oldham Athletic in the final.

The Shrimpers beat Wealdstone 2-1 on Saturday afternoon and have only lost one of their last 10, while they are set to play the Stones again in the Isuzu FA Trophy final in May.

Scunthorpe came out on top on both occasions the sides met this season, winning 2-0 at Roots Hall in September and 1-0 on home soil in February.

Boreham Wood vs. Forest Green Rovers

  • Date: Wednesday, April 29
  • Time: 7.45pm (Available to watch live on DAZN)

Nine points and three places separated Boreham Wood and Forest Green in the final standings, but that counts for nothing as the pair fight in a one-match shootout.

Like Scunthorpe, the Wood are aiming for a second straight promotion after winning the National League South play-offs last season, and they will have home advantage.

Luke Garrard's men have only lost one of their last nine in all competitions and defeated Sutton United 1-0 on the final day.

Forest Green head into the play-off eliminators as the lowest-ranked side and are striving to return to League Two after they were relegated in 2024.

Robbie Savage's side thumped relegated Morecambe 5-0 on Saturday and have lost just one of their last six matches.

The Green defeated Boreham Wood 2-1 on home soil in October, but nothing could separate the sides when they met in late February, with the pair drawing 1-1.
