Chelsea's FIFA Club World Cup bid took a major setback in their second group game as Flamengo came from behind to defeat the Blues 3-1 in Philadelphia.
Pedro Neto had put Enzo Maresca's side in front in the first half, but the Brazilians turned the game on its head in a dramatic five-minute spell that saw them score twice through Bruno Enrique and former Man City defender Danilo.
However, things went from bad to worse for the Premier League side when, minutes after going behind, they were reduced to ten men thanks to a horror tackle from Nicolas Jackson.
Incredibly, the striker had only been on the pitch for four minutes, having replaced Liam Delap on the hour mark, when he was shown his marching orders for the nasty-looking lunge on Ayrton Lucas.
Flamengo then went on to add a third later in the second half, as the Brazilians went to the top of Group D.
