Palmeiras vs. Porto will take place at MetLife Stadium, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The stadium opened in 2010, replacing Giants Stadium, and serves as the home for the New York Giants and New York Jets of the NFL.
It will be the setting for both the semi-finals and the final of this year's FIFA Club World Cup.
The Brazilians are halfway through their domestic season and are currently on a slight downturn in form, having lost three of their last six games. Abel Ferreira's side are fourth in the table, but remain just a point off the top spot.
They were last in action on June 1, when they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Cruziero after conceding two goals in the first four minutes of the game.
Previous XI : Weverton, Giay, Fuchs, Micael, Piquerez, Rios, Martinez, Veiga, Mauricio, Estevao, Lopez
Porto managed to salvage a disappointing start to last season by finishing third in the Primeira Liga and come into the game having lost only three games since March.
They will be favourites for the group, given their European pedigree and star striker Samu Aghehowa, who netted 25 times in all competitions in 2024-25.
Since the end of the season, they've competed in a trio of friendlies and beaten both Wydad and Nacional.
Previous XI : Costa, Fernandes, Marcano, Pedro, Eustaquioe, Tomas-Perez, Vieira, Mario, Mora, Moura, Aghehowa
Odds courtesy of DAZN Bet and correct as of 12:00 on Tuesday 10 June.
Both teams will look to make a statement in their opening performance and take control of Group A.
Palmeiras may be fresher, given they are entering the tournament mid-season, but Porto may have the edge, thanks to the attacking options at their disposal.
Prediction: Palmeiras 1-2 Porto
