Portugal squad for 2026 World Cup: All players, captain, shirt numbers and Roberto Martinez's coaching staff
Roberto Martinez has named his provisional Portugal squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they look to lift the World Cup for the first time in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The Portuguese are one of the favourites to win the tournament as they seek their premier men's world title, having previously won the Euros in 2016.
The 2026 World Cup, from June 11 to July 18, is an expanded format with 48 national teams now competing, originally divided into 12 groups.
Portugal will face DR Congo, Uzbekistan and Colombia in Group K, starting on Wednesday, June 17, against DR Congo, who have not competed at the tournament since 1974 when the country was known as Zaire.

All squads are provisional until FIFA announces the final list of 26 players, following the submission of applications by the participating teams on June 2.
Roberto Martinez announced his final squad on May 19.
