The summer transfer window has slammed shut in the Premier League and deals that were filed before the deadline are still filtering in, but we know the bulk of the deals that have been made, whether they have been finalised by the clubs or confirmed through reporting from trusted news outlets.

As such, we can now see which clubs have been the most generous with their money during the window and which players fetched the largest fees.

With three players in the top five — including a widely reported British-record fee for Alexander Isak — Liverpool are unsurprisingly the top spenders of the summer. Interestingly, the next two top spenders are Chelsea and Arsenal, despite not having any players in the five most expensive transfers.

Here are the top five most expensive Premier League transfers of the summer:

1. Alexander Isak (Liverpool) – £130 million

Liverpool break their own transfer record set just a couple of months earlier as they finalised a deadline day deal for their top target.

3. Benjamin Šeško (Manchester United) – £74 million

Long coveted by Ruben Amorim, Sesko has a big task ahead as he spearheads a rebuilt Man United attack.

4. Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United) – £71 million

Like Sesko, Mbeumo is seen as a key part of a new Red Devils attack that will lead the club back to their traditional heights among the Premier League's elite.
