The follow-up to last weekend's glimmer of hope coming out of the Milan derby saw the title race take another twist, and the end of a possible final chance of derailing the leaders.Â
Elsewhere, once again, Roma failed to finish off a top-four rival as the battle for Champions League places continues to heat up.Â
Here's a round-up of the big talking points from Serie A's matchday 29, with a game still to be played on Monday evening.Â

Milan's win over Inter last weekend was supposed to give the final few weeks of the Serie A season a renewed vigour at the top of the league, but it now feels like we're almost back where we started.Â
Not only did the Rossoneri give themselves hope by beating their rivals in the Derby della Madonnina, but they were also presented with the opportunity to cut down the lead to five points after Inter could only manage a draw against Atalanta on Saturday.Â
The Nerazzurri wobbled once again after taking the lead, and it all looked set up for Maxi Allegri's side to take advantage as they travelled to Lazio. Unfortunately, they failed in their mission.Â
Gustav Isaksen's first-half goal for the home side was enough to condemn Milan to only their third defeat of the season, but possibly their most damaging.
They now trail the leaders by eight points with eight games to go, and that hope from last week's win has quickly diminished.Â
Below the top two, it's the race for the top four that is becoming the league's most fascinating battle, and this weekend saw Como take a major step in their bid for a first-ever Champions League campaign.Â
Cesc Fabregas' men came from behind against fellow contenders Roma, to win 2-1 and leapfrog their opponents to take the coveted fourth position in the table.Â
It was another disappointment for Gian Piero Gasperini, whose team once again failed to get a result against a fellow top-six team, something that has become a hallmark of their campaign and could mean they could miss out on a place at Europe's top table.Â
For Como, though, it could be a history-making season.Â
The scrap at the bottom looked to be really about one final place, but Pisa are not being counted out just yet.Â
After four straight defeats, they got a much-needed victory on Sunday as they saw off Cagliari, and it could be timed just right for a late great escape.Â
They are now six points off safety, with games against Cremonese and Lecce to come in their final eight fixtures.
It will still be a tough ask, but a convincing win is sometimes all a team needs to spark them into life, just at the perfect moment.Â
