The Premier League season is paused for the October international break, with Arsenal at the top of the pile after seven rounds of matches.

They lead defending champions Liverpool by a single point after Matchweek 7's results, with three other teams within three points of the Gunners.

But which Premier League stars have impressed the most in the opening seven games? DAZN News' Rudi Schuller picks out the early standouts.

Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)

The Cherries find themselves in fourth place at the break, and Semenyo is a massive reason for that.

Bournemouth's attack runs through the 25-year-old, and he has responded in kind with six goals and three assists so far. That's second and third in the Premier League, respectively.

And on the defensive side, Semenyo has been a force. According to FBRef, he is in the 99th percentile among attacking midfielders and wingers in blocks, 97th in aerials won and 84th in clearances.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

Hardly any explanation is needed for Haaland's inclusion, as the Manchester City star once again leads the Premier League in goals.

The 25-year-old has scored nine times in seven games, putting him on pace for roughly 48 goals over the course of the entire season.

His absurd strike rate will be hard to maintain over 38 games and Haaland is scoring above his expected goals (7.7), but if there's anyone who could do it, it's him.

Jack Grealish (Everton)

Haaland's good friend and former Man City teammate, Grealish is enjoying life with Everton as the Toffees' attacking talisman.

His pure numbers aren't as spectacular as the first two entries on this list, with one goal and four assists so far, but the 30-year-old is a creative force for an Everton side still figuring themselves out after a summer overhaul.

Grealish is producing 2.4 key passes and creating an astounding 7.06 progessive carries per 90 minutes, with the latter statistic putting him in the 99th percentile in his position.

Granit Xhaka (Sunderland)

Xhaka's return to the Premier League has been a good one so far, with the Switzerland international immediately becoming an indisposable member of a Sunderland side that has turned some heads in the early part of the season.

Now 33, Xhaka's experience is such that he was named captain of the Black Cats before playing a single match for the club.

A true metronome in the middle of the park for Sunderland, Xhaka has recorded three assists so far. He's in the 96th percentile among midfielders in pass attempts and completes 8.69 progressive passes per 90 minutes (95th percentile), meaning most Sunderland actions go through him.

Moises Caicedo (Chelsea)

Chelsea have yet to put together a consistent run of form this season, but that hasn't been because of Caicedo.

The Ecuadorian has three goals from the midfield for the Blues so far in 2025-26, and he's extremely tidy with the ball with a 91.3 percent pass accuracy and 398 successful passes (97th percentile among midfielders), according to FotMob.

On the defensive side of the ball, Caicedo is indispensible for Enzo Maresca. The 23-year-old has 18 interceptions, five blocked shots, 38 recoveries, 46 duels won and 28 tackles — all in the 94th percentile or higher.

Ryan Gravenbach (Liverpool)

Another midfielder who has performed impressively on either side of the ball, Gravenberch has two goals and an assist in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season.

The Amsterdam native has kept the ball moving wth 343 successful passes at an 88.2 percent accuracy, and he averages 1.62 interceptions per 90 minutes.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

One of the most exciting players to watch in the Premier League, Saka is a menace when in possession on his favoured right flank.

The Arsenal star hasn't played as much as others on this list but his impact is still noteworthy, with two league goals for the Gunners in five appearances so far.

Saka is both a finisher and creator for the league leaders, with 0.36 expected assists and 4.7 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes for the Premier League's second-most prolific attack in 2025-26.
