Teddy Sheringham reveals who he'll be supporting at the FIFA Club World Cup
Football fans won't be starved of football this month, with the FIFA Club World Cup kicking off later in June - a tournament you can watch for free on DAZN.
The revamped competition will be a chance for supporters to enjoy a club competition akin to a major international tournament and to even throw their support behind a new name if their team isn't involved.
That's exactly what former England striker Teddy Sheringham is doing as he takes in all the festivities in the USA. None of his former clubs are competing in the Club World Cup, giving him free rein on who to favour.
Speaking exclusively to DAZN News, thanks to Prime Casino, Sheringham revealed that he is throwing his weight behind the hosts in the States.
"I’d like to see Inter Miami as they are part of the tournament," he said.
"Because I'd like to see Messi in it. He’s there with Miami, so I’ll be supporting.
"The English teams, Chelsea and Manchester City, well, I still love watching Manchester City, so it’ll be City and Inter Miami that I’ll be gunning for.
"Chelsea are my old rivals, so I don’t really want them doing well, even though they’re an English club."
