Jobe Bellingham showed why Borussia Dortmund brought him to the Bundesliga with a superb first goal for the club against Mamelodi Sundowns at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The Young Lions star, who swapped Sunderland for Germany ahead of this year's tournament, showed promising glimpses when he came off the bench in their tournament opener.

But in his first start for the club, the playmaker helped cement a first-half turnaround following Lucas Ribeiro Costa's opener with a superlative half-volley of his own before the break.

Ronwen Williams deflected a cross into the six-yard area which looped straight towards the incoming teenager, who controlled with his chest before striking low into the left corner.

The goal helped secure a 3-1 lead for Dortmund at the break at Cincinnati's TQL Stadium, and helped further highlight Bellingham's talents as he seeks to emulate brother Jude.
