Marc Diakiese admits he is "excited" for his first fight with the Professional Fighters League at the 2025 PFL World Tournament, predicting "people will know who I am" afterwards.

The Englishman is set to feature in a revamped structure as one of several contenders for the 2025 PFL Lightweight Tournament, entering at the quarter-final stage.

It will mark Diakiese's debut after several years with the UFC, having previously impressed at Bellator Champions Series 5 against Tim Wilde last September.

Speaking exclusively to DAZN, the 31-year-old admits that while his opponent is yet to be officially revealed, he believes that the bout and the move can help his stock rise.

"For me, it's a fight," he said. "I can't look at what-ifs. I just have to prepare. The result itself tells you how you prepared. It's experience [I take from 2024].

"I've got a good matchup that I'm really happy for. I think people will know who I am after this fight. I'm excited to take this fight. Now I'm solely focused on fighting."

Currently in camp in Spain as he prepares for his promotion bow in the first half of the year, Diakiese also acknowledges that he hopes it can help focus him on the task at hand.

"[The weather is] definitely better," he added. "I always think it's important [to go away]. You get a lot of benefits because you're away from distractions.

"Here, I'm away from everybody and can do what I've got to do. I'm solely focused on my camp. I talk to my family, but that's it."
