The start of WrestleMania 37 featured a delay because of bad weather. But by the time night one of "The Showcase of the Immortals" concluded, history was made at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. The main event saw two African-American women in the headlining spot of WrestleMania for the first time ever and they delivered fireworks.

Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship in what will go down as one of the greatest matches in the history of WrestleMania main events.

Belair and Banks had the crowd in the palms of their hands from start to finish. Belair was crying when they were in the middle of the ring and Banks was trying to keep her emotions in check. The story of the match was the power and athleticism of Belair against the smooth technical wrestling ability of Banks.

Every time each female had an advantage, the tide would turn in an instant. Banks finally seemed to get on top and looked to be moments away from retaining her title. She attempted to grab Belair's long ponytail. The challenger had other plans in mind.

Belair blocked it and whipped Banks as hard as she could. Belair tried for the KOD but Banks blocked it. The former champion went for Bank Statement but Belair reversed it and hit the KOD to win the championship to a giant roar from the crowd.

Other matches on the show included an in-ring appearance by multi-Grammy award-winning celebrity Bad Bunny, who delivered a stellar performance as he and Damian Priest beat The Miz and John Morrison, while Braun Strowman defeated Shane McMahon.

Here is what happened at WrestleMania 37, night one.

Belair def. Banks to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship.

After a grueling back-and-forth affair, Banks tried to grab Belair's long ponytail. However, Belair had a different idea. She blocked it and whipped Banks as hard as she could. That left a massive welt on Banks' ribs.

Belair tried for the KOD but Banks blocked it. The former champion went for Bank Statement but Belair reversed it and hit the KOD to win the championship.

What a match! By far, the best main event in WrestleMania in quite some time. What a moment!

What power from Bianca Belair

WrestleMania 37 main event time

It is time for the main event of WrestleMania 37 as Sasha Banks puts the SmackDown Women's Championship on the line against the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair.

A big-time moment for Banks and Belair. Can they deliver?

Bad Bunny shines in pro wrestling debut

Bad Bunny and Damian Priest def. The Miz and John Morrison.

The end came when Priest was trying to tag Bunny but Morrison knocked him off the ring apron. Bunny was having none of it and hit a Canadian Destroyer on Morrison. Priest tags in Bunny. Priest lifts Miz in the air and Bunny does a splash from the top rope and pins Miz.

The match was nothing short of remarkable. Bad Bunny had one of the best debuts in WWE history and he did so on sports entertainment's biggest stage. A ton of credit to the native of Puerto Rico. He could have not taken it seriously and just showed up. Instead, he practiced just about every day and it showed. Very impressive.

Braun Strowman runs through Shane McMahon

Strowman def. McMahon to win the steel cage match.

McMahon was pummeling Strowman with the help of Elias and Jaxson Ryker and looked to be on his way to victory. McMahon was a couple of rungs away from landing on the floor when Strowman climbed up and ripped the cage open with his bare hands.

Strowman grabs McMahon back into the cage and carries him to the top of the cage. Strowman talks smack to McMahon and then tosses him from the top all the way to canvas. McMahon looks broken in half.

Strowman picks up McMahon and hits the running powerslam for the pin. If you though McMahon wouldn't take a death-defying bump, you would be wrong.

Time for the cage

Now at WrestleMania 37, Braun Strowman battles Shane McMahon in a steel cage match. The build has been lackluster. But it is WrestleMania and McMahon pulls out all the stops in these big-time matches.

AJ Styles and Omos destroy The New Day to win RAW Tag Team titles

Styles and Omos def. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) to capture the RAW Tag Team titles.

Kingston and Woods were running through Styles. The complexion of the match changed when Woods went to the top rope and Styles lifted his head up and tagged Omos. From there, it was the Omos show.

He plowed right through Kingston and Woods with clotheslines and punches. Styles gets on Omos' shoulders and hit KIngston with a Phenominal Forearm. Omos picks up Kingston and lifts him high in the air with a two-arm chokeslam. He puts his foot on Kingston and new champions are crowned.

The match was designed to get Omos over and the plan got executed. The crowd was in awe of everything he did and it was smart for him to score the pin.

RAW Tag Team Title time

Coming up at WrestleMania 37, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) defend the RAW Tag Team titles against AJ Styles and Omos.

Omos is going to be making his WWE debut. This is a huge moment for him. Thankfully for him, he has one of the best wrestlers in the world by his side.

Cesaro notches the biggest win of his career over Seth Rollins

Cesaro def. Rollins.

Rollins went for the Curb Stomp but Cesaro connects on a vicious uppercut. Cesaro picks up Rollins over his head and spins him around with no hands in an uncanny spot.

Then Cesaro picks up Rollins and spins him 23 times before finally releasing the former world champion. "The Swiss Superman" picks Rollins up for The Neutralizer for the pin and the biggest win of his career.

The match delivered in every way. That was everything we expected and then some. Glad to see Cesaro get the win. Hopefuly it finally leads to a much awaited push.

Possible WrestleMania 37 show stealer

Right now at WrestleMania 37, Seth Rollins faces off with Cesaro. Hard to believe this is Cesaro's first singles contest at WrestleMania. He has no better opponent than Rollins. This has the chance to steal the show and be the best match of the weekend.

Natalya and Tamina become number one contenders for Women's tag titles

Natayla and Tamina def. The Riott Sqaud to become number one contenders for the Women's tag team titles. These were the final two teams in the match.

Natalya and Tamina executed The Hart Attack onto Ruby Riott. Instead of applying the Sharpshooter, Natalya tagged Tamina who went to the top rope and landed the Superfly Splash, just like her father Superfly Jimmy Snuka, for the pin. They will now face Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for the Women's tag team titles on Sunday night.

Not much to the match but solid action between the final two teams. Good to see Natalya and Tamina get some shine and advance.

Time for women's action

Up next is a tag team turmoil match with Carmella and Billie Kay, Lana and Naomi, Natayla and Tamina Snuka, Dana Brooek and Mandy Rose, and The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott).

The rules of the bout are that two teams will start with the winner becoming the No. 1 contenders for the Women's Tag team titles and will face Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax on Sunday.

Bobby Lashley retains WWE Championship

Lashley def. McIntyre via submission to retain the WWE Championship. McIntyre had things well in control and looked to be moments away from recapturing the title as he was setting up the Claymore Kick.

MVP distracted McIntyre long enough for him to miss the move. Lashley comes right back and applies The Hurt Lock. McIntyre kept attempting to get out of the hold but the grip of Lashley was tight as he can be and the champ kept squeezing harder and harder. McIntyre crumbled to the mat and passed out to the pain and the match is over.

A very good way to begin the show. A hard-hitting affair that allowed Lashley and McIntyre. A surprising finish but the right choice was made.

Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar anyone?

What a move

With Lashley and his manager MVP on the outside, the 265-pound McIntyre jumps over the top rope for a swanton onto the duo. An unbelievable move from someone of that stature.

Lashley and McIntyre bringing the lumber

This match is 15 minutes in and it's been high octane from the opening bell. Lashley and McIntyre are delivering hard blows mixed in with some solid technical wrestling.
