About the Pause function

If you wish to temporarily cancel your subscription, and resume watching DAZN at a later date, you may want to try out the ‘Pause’ function.

■What is the pause function?
•    About the pause function
The pause function allows you to suspend your subscription for up to 6 months. You can set the date you want to restart your subscription.
If you have time remaining on your current subscription, the pause function will take effect after your subscription has expired, and your account will become active on the ‘restart date’s you have set.  
You will not be charged while your account is paused, and we will remind you by email when your subscription is active again.
 
•    Users unable to use the pause function
The following users are unable to use the pause function:
-DAZN for docomo users
-Users that migrated from the SoftBank Special Discount Plan 
-Users registered through Apple
-Users paying through Amazon IAP
-Users paying through Google Play Billing (In-App Purchasing)
-Users currently in their free trial period
-Users that have an active Gift Code
-Users paying through Mobile Carrier Billing
-Users in Annual Plan

•    The difference between cancellation and pause

【The Pause Function】
You can suspend your account for up to 6 months. Please try the pause function if your plans to watch DAZN in the future are within 6 months of when you intend to cancel your account. 
With the pause function, there is no need to re-register your payment details upon restarting your account. 

【Account Cancellation】
If you are unsure if you will continue to watch DAZN in the future, or if you plan on using DAZN after a period of more than 6 months, please cancel your account. Even after cancellation, you will be able to view DAZN for the remainder of your current viewing period.
※Your account will become inactive once your viewing period expires.
If you wish to restart your account after cancellation, you will have to register your payment details. 


■How do I pause my account?
To pause your account, you will need to perform the following steps on a web browser.

1. Select "My Account" from "Menu" at the top right of the home screen.

2. Select "PAUSE SUBSCRIPTION" from "CURRENT PLAN"

3. Select the restart date from the calendar and click "PAUSE SUBSCRIPTION"

4.  The pause confirmation screen is displayed.

※You can pause your account for a period of up to 6 months.
※A confirmation email will be sent once you complete this procedure.


■How do I change my restart date?
You can change your ‘restart date’ at any time from your My Account Page.
※Please use a web browser for this procedure.

1. Select "My Account" from "Menu" at the top right of the home screen

2. Select "CHANGE RESTART DATE" in "CURRENT PLAN"

3. Select the restart date from the calendar and select "CHANGE RESTART DATE"

4. The resume date for using the pause function will be changed.

■How do I restart my account during pause?
If you wish to restart your account early (during your pause period), please perform the following steps.
※Please use a web browser for this procedure.

1. Select "My Account" from "Menu" at the top right of the home screen

2. Select "KEEP MY DAZN ACTIVE" in "CURRENT PLAN"

*You will be charged to your registered payment method upon restarting your account.
*Your monthly Billing Date will be set in accordance with your restart date.



3. Viewing will resume

■How do I cancel my account during pause?
You can cancel your paused account from your My Account page. Please follow the steps below:

1. Select "My Account" from "Menu" at the top right of the home screen

2. Select "CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION" from "CURRENT PLAN"

3. Select "CONTINUE TO CANCEL"

4. Select the reason for cancellation and click "FINISH CANCELLATION"ユーザが追加した画像

■Pause function FAQ

Q. When is the suspension start date?
DAZN's monthly fee is prepaid, so even if you set a suspension, you can continue to watch until the day before the next billing date (the last day of the current viewing period).

Q. Where can I check the next billing date (the last day of the current viewing period)?
You can check it in your own My Account.
* Please be sure to use a web browser.

1. Select "My Account" from "Menu" at the top right of the home screen
2. Please check "Next payment" from the contract details
 

Q. Can I redeem a gift code during pause?
Please be aware that you cannot register a gift code during pause.
If you wish to redeem a gift code, please contact DAZN Customer Services.
