New head coach Shane Steichen is tasked with bringing the Indianapolis Colts back to the playoffs after a two-year absence.
The Colts were 4-12-1 last season, a considerable step down from the 9-8 record they posted a year previous. Indy missed out on the postseason in both cases, but the trend was worrisome enough for the team to give the keys to rookie head coach Steichen.
Indianapolis will have another quarterback pushing for the starter's job after drafting Anthony Richardson fourth overall. The former Florida star will compete with Sam Ehlinger and Gardiner Minshew for the starting QB job, giving Steichen a potentially season-defining decision to make at the beginning of his tenure.
