Anthony Yarde will likely admit that he's not as far ahead in his career as he would like. Touted as one of Britain's leading prospects at one stage due to his explosive power, Yarde's first experience at the highest level ended in disaster when he was stopped by Sergey Kovalev in Russia in 2019. A defeat to Lyndon Arthur the following year also hurt Yarde but it's likely he'll have the chance to avenge the Arthur setback if victorious against Alex Theran.
The well-travelled Columbian is highly respected in boxing circles but he's never been able to make the breakthrough against a solid opponent. Can he stop that trend against Yarde or will the Brit's power be too much?
The Yarde vs. Theran card takes place on Saturday, August 28. The card is scheduled to start at 7pm BST with the main event likely to be around 10pm BST.
The card will take place at the the Birmingham Arena, Birmingham, UK.
