The two fighters could meet later this year after Shields takes part in an MMA bout.

Sergio Mora loves the idea of a fight between Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields, and explains what will be motivating Shields.

Shields is set to make her MMA debut but has talked up the idea of meeting Marshall, who defeated her as an amateur. She claimed that, “I’m going to knock Savannah Marshall's a— out.”

Speaking to Chris Mannix on DAZN’s JABS, Mora said he was enjoying the back and forth.

“I love the trash talking already,” he explained.

“Any time you have a fighter who has a win over you, whether it’s in the pros or the amateurs, it leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

“You want that win, you want that revenge, and Savannah Marshall is one of the hardest punchers in boxing.

“No matter how good a champion is, these females have a hard time knocking out fighters because they fight too many rounds.

“Savannah Marshall is taking care of boxing. She reminds me of a female Paul Williams.  She kind of breaks you down, and little by little she sneaks in power. I can see why she’s so confident."

Mora pointed out that as well as the win over Shields, Marshall has also proven herself by knocking out Hannah Rankin.

“I’m looking at this as they both have a fighter in common, Hannah Rankin,” he began.

“Shields wasn’t able to knock her out, Marshall was, so that’s something she can dangle over her.”
