Watching DAZN on a Smart TV

FAQ

Can I sign up to DAZN on my TV?

Yes, you can sign up on your TV. If you already have a DAZN account, you just need to sign in. Once you have set up DAZN through your TV, you are able to access the service across any of our supported devices. You may find it easier to sign up on the DAZN website, using a full keyboard rather than the TV remote.

How do I restart the DAZN app?

Like any electronic device, an app needs to be reset every now and then. In order to do this, press up on the remote control until the Menu rail appears, select ‘Exit App’ at the end of your session. This will stop the video being streamed to your device. Allow 5 minutes before returning to the app.

What’s the difference between the ‘Sign Out’ and ‘Exit App’ options?

If you select the option to sign out from the app, you will need to sign in next time you launch the DAZN app - choose this option if you don’t want anyone else to use your account on your device, or to swap accounts. You’re allowed to sign in to up to 6 devices with one account at the same time. If you decide to select the option to exit the app then you will not be signed out.

The image quality doesn’t look very good.

We strongly recommend the use of a wired connection to your modem. However,  you are still able to use DAZN on Wi-Fi. The strength of your Wi-Fi connection and the overall bandwidth will determine the image quality you will see. Our playback uses “adaptive bit rate”, which will always start with highly compressed video optimized for low bandwidth users, and then it will improve the quality according to your connection. If you believe the quality of video is still poor after 2 minutes of playback and you have sufficient bandwidth available, please contact Customer Service at www.dazn.com/help.

What happens if I have playback issues?

Check your broadband connection in the device Settings. If you have problems, we advise using a wired connection. Another quick fix for a playback problem is to open a Sports or Category page and return to the event you intended to watch originally. This often resolves temporary issues.

I’m seeing a buffering spinner all the time.

If we’re unable to stream video to your device (due to a number of reasons) you may see a buffering spinner. If you try other watching other content and still see a buffering spinner for more than a minute, please contact Customer Service.

Why does the Menu keep disappearing?

We automatically hide the app menu after fifteen seconds, to make sure nothing gets in the way when you watch in full screen. On your remote control, press up, down, or back, and the rails will return.

I’ve got to somewhere in the app and I don’t know how to get out

If you are unsure of what screen you are looking at and don’t know how to get back, press back. This will navigate you back through your journey. If you are still unsure, press Home on your remote and don’t return to the DAZN app until after 5 minutes. When you return to DAZN, you’ll be taken to the home screen of the app and the sport will begin again.

How do I provide feedback for the DAZN app on my Smart TV?
