Raiders All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers will miss "a game or two" after undergoing meniscus trim surgery, per Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport .
The injury was diagnosed last week during camp, and the surgery was scheduled shortly afterwards.
Bowers was placed on season-ending injury reserve last December due to a knee injury.
Bowers has proved to be an important asset to the Las Vegas offense ever since he was drafted No. 13 overall in the 2024 Draft.
In 2024, the tight end recorded 1,194 yards and five touchdowns, while also making the First-team All-Pro his rookie year.
Through 12 games and eight starts last season, Bowers recorded 64 receptions, 680 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 23-year-old had to be sidelined from week five through seven after having played through a PCL injury and bone bruising in his left knee.
Jalen Nailor will become the No. 1 receiving target for Cousins, while Michael Mayer will try to fill in Bowers' shoes while he's out.
It won't be such a hard loss for the Raiders if Bowers only misses up to two games; anything more than that could hurt any hopes Las Vegas has for this season.
With Cousins as QB1 for now and Ashton Jeanty looking likely to play Week 1, the Raiders have a decent team to at least have a winning record this year.
Bowers' absence will surely affect the Raiders to some extent, but they really have a better team than last year, with promising Draft picks and new signings; this could be the start of a new era in Las Vegas.
