At fourth overall, Carnell Tate is the highest-drafted wide receiver in Tennessee Titans franchise history.
While some in his position would feel the weight of the pressure, Tennessee's newest addition has already made clear he intends to live up to the lofty expectations.
"I think I'm best at catching the ball, my route-running ability, the ability to get open, and also my contested catch," Tate said, describing what qualities he brings to Tennessee.
"And then also, I bring in the blocking," he continued. "I'm a complete receiver. I do it all."
On the evidence of the tape, it's hard to argue.
Tate has been following the Titans closely for a while, and is looking forward to working with quarterback Cam Ward, the Titans' first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
"I've been watching them since the Derrick Henry days, and I'm very excited for Cam Ward, being able to go out there and run routes and catch balls from him," Tate said.
"I'm looking forward to going out there and making plays and helping the organization.

"As long as you make the most of your opportunities and catch the balls that come your way, good things happen."
Tate has the highest ceiling of any wide receiver on the roster, but he was quick to acknowledge his new teammates.
"I'm very familiar with the receiver room. Calvin Ridley, Wan'Dale [Robinson], you got Chim Dike, you've got Elic [Ayomanor]. I watch those guys. Those guys have done unbelievable things for that program."

Before the 2026 NFL Draft, only one wide receiver had been selected in the top four over the previous decade - Marvin Harrison Jr., taken third overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2024.
The Titans didn't hesitate making Tate the next, with assistant GM Dave Ziegler making clear there was total consensus across the organisation about the pick.
"At the end of the day with Carnell," Ziegler said, "we just had a very good, consensus vision on what he is going to do, where he is going to play, how he is going to fit in and what he is going to bring to this team.
"We feel we are really getting a complete three-down player. … He was a clear guy for us to take and we are really excited about it."
Whether Tate lives up to that billing will define a significant chunk of this front office's legacy.
