The Cowboys apparently have found their answer for Micah Parsons.

Team owner Jerry Jones said after his team's 40-37 victory over the New York Giants that they signed three-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney to a contract. Terms were not known at this time of writing.

Clowney visited the Cowboys last week with the impression that an announcement of his signing would be revealed after Sunday's game. The 32-year-old was released in May by the Carolina Panthers after recording 5.5 sacks in the 2024-2025 season. He'd come over from the Baltimore Ravens, where he registered 9.5 sacks during the 2023-2024 season.

Clowney was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. He played five years for the team and has recently been on five different teams in the last six seasons. In his 11-year career, Clowney has 58 career sacks, 139 quarterback hits, 409 tackles, and 15 forced fumbles.

The Cowboys (1-1) play next Sunday when they travel to Chicago to take on the Bears. It's not known if Clowney will make his team debut.
