D.J. Moore predicted to make ‘huge difference’ for Josh Allen and the Bills

The Buffalo Bills’ passing game has remained dangerous in recent years, but one thing has been missing: a true 1,000-yard receiver.

In fact, Buffalo hasn’t had one since Stefon Diggs in 2023, which feels odd for an offense led by uber-talented quarterback Josh Allen.

That’s part of the reason the front office moved for D.J. Moore in free agency, sending a 2026 second-round pick to bring him in.

On paper, he’s the most accomplished receiver Allen has worked with since Diggs. Over eight seasons, Moore has quietly put together 977 catches and 8,213 yards, production that has travelled with him from team to team.

Now he gets the chance to catch passes from one of the NFL’s most dangerous quarterbacks.

Per the team's website, the Bills' latest addition cannot wait to hook up with Allen.

"He's a field general," Moore said of #17. "You see him out there trying to conduct things, and the way he does it is successful, and I just want to be a part of that."

Allen’s aggressive, improvisational style tends to reward receivers who can stay alive when plays break down.

Moore may be new to the team, but he's acutely aware of what awaits him.

"Seeing the things that he can do, extending plays, throwing the ball downfield and giving guys opportunities, it's exciting."

Speaking about Moore on Good Morning Footballavailable on DAZN for Game Pass subscribers, Seth Rollins said the 28-year-old is going to make a "huge difference".

"When it comes to these big games... Josh is going to be looking for D.J. Moore," he continued.

Even with an impressive career resume, Moore believes there's still more to unlock.

"I feel like there's another level to my game," he explained. "Being around guys like Josh and the rest of the offense, I feel like it can take my game even higher."

Buffalo clearly thinks so, too. The Bills brought Moore in not only to produce on the field but to provide veteran leadership to a young receiver room.

The way the veteran handled his departure from Chicago suggests they have found exactly that.

Last year, the Bills' offense was dangerous. Going forward, if Allen unlocks that “next level” Moore believes is still there, they could become borderline unstoppable.
