The second of three London games on the 2026 NFL international schedule is slated for Week 5 and brings together two teams who made the postseason in 2025.

The Philadelphia Eagles will make the trip across the Atlantic to face a Jacksonville Jaguars side, with both desperate to go a little further after falling at the Wild Card round of the playoffs last year.

A packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will witness one of the most star-studded games in recent memory, as Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith do battle with Trevor Lawrence, Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr.

Eagles vs. Jaguars: Key storylines

Can the Eagles re-establish their 2024 dominance?

The Eagles won Super Bowl LIX, but their 2025 regular season was a different story.

Philadelphia finished 11-6, went out in the Wild Card round to the 49ers, and spent most of the year looking like a team that couldn't find top gear.

Hurts threw only six interceptions and certainly had moments where he lived up to his reputation as a top-tier quarterback, but he has faced his fair share of criticism for the offensive issues.

His own numbers didn't fall off sharply, but the offense managed only 22.5 points per game after averaging 27.2 in their Lombardi-winning campaign.

The bigger concern was the inefficiencies on the ground, where Barkley managed barely half of the yardage and touchdown totals he enjoyed in 2024.

Hope for improvement arrives in the form of a new offensive coordinator in Sean Mannion, but he's faced with the potential challenge of getting the offense back on track without Brown in the fold.

Whether Mannion's crew can put on a show in a prime-time London game will go a long way to telling us whether they're back to their best.

Jacksonville: Can Coen do it again?

While the Eagles are trying to rediscover themselves, the Jaguars know exactly who they are and where they're headed.

In one of the most impressive turnarounds in recent history, head coach Liam Coen turned a 4-13 wreck into a 13-4 AFC South champion in his debut season.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence enjoyed his best season yet, the defense balled out, and Jacksonville were one of the hottest teams down the stretch, going 9-1 after their Week 8 bye.

They fell agonisingly short in a three-point Wild Card loss to the Bills, but that doesn't diminish what Coen and Co. built.

The challenge now is keeping the feel-good story rolling, with opponents having a full offseason of film on them.

Win in London, against the Eagles, and the Jaguars will send a clear message that last season was no fluke.

Fresh blood, big stage

There could be several new arrivals on display in this game.

Jacksonville inked former Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez to a two-year, $10 million deal, and he could be heavily involved after Travis Etienne's departure in free agency.

Philadelphia's first-round wideout, USC's Makai Lemon, looks set to make his London debut alongside the team's second-rounder, Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers.

And Mannion's arrival as the new Eagles offensive coordinator rounds out the group of notables looking to prove their worth to their new teams.

Eagles vs. Jaguars: Key matchups

Lawrence and Co. vs. the Eagles' defense

Last year, Lawrence eclipsed 4,000 passing yards for the third time in his career, threw a career-high 29 touchdowns, and, with nine rushing touchdowns, became a threat to score whenever the Jaguars were near the goal line.

If wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. can rediscover his 2024 form, Parker Washington can keep it rolling, and with tight end Brenton Strange growing into his role, Jacksonville have the personnel to deliver.

And then there's the X-factor of Travis Hunter, who, despite moving to a full-time cornerback role, is a threat to appear in certain offensive packages.

Who can forget Hunter's last performance on British soil?

Tasked with containing that unit is a Philly secondary boasting some of the best young defensive backs in football.

The elite talents of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean are a group made even better by the offseason acquisition of cornerback Riq Woolen, who won the Super Bowl with the Seahawks last year.

Vic Fangio's defense will love the challenge, but Lawrence and this offense operating at full speed can be a problem for anyone.

Hurts, Barkley, Smith, Goedert vs. Jags' defense

Jacksonville's defense created turnovers for fun last year, ranking second in takeaways with 31.

Hurts doesn't give the ball away often, and Barkley rarely puts the ball on the ground. If both can continue to play keep-away, it gives the Eagles a significant edge.

But getting the run game going may be challenging, as the Jaguars are coming off a season in which they surrendered only 3.9 yards per carry.

If Jacksonville's defense continues to prove difficult to beat on the ground, Hurts may need to air it out, where Smith, Barkley, and Goedert are all capable of doing serious damage.

Eagles vs. Jaguars: Series record

Philadelphia leads the all-time series 5-3-0.

The Eagles won 24-18 when these two met in their 2018 London fixture, but that was a lifetime ago in NFL terms, and will have little bearing on the outcome of this game.

What may matter more is the Eagles' recent dominance, having won five consecutive meetings since the Jaguars' last victory over Philadelphia in 2006.

Is Coen's group up to the task of overturning that run? His side's familiarity with the vocal crowd at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be to their advantage, but this game is anyone's for the taking.
