The Las Vegas Raiders hold the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and all signs point to them using it on Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza.
Desperately needing a quarterback of Mendoza's calibre to spearhead their rebuild, it would take a blockbuster offer to convince Las Vegas to trade out of the top spot.
But it has happened before - 13 times since the AFL-NFL merger in 1967, to be precise. Here is every trade of the No.1 overall pick before draft night since 1967, and what each team got in return.
The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off in Pittsburgh on 23 April, and you can watch every round live on DAZN with a Game Pass subscription.
From just £9.99 / €9.99, witness the moment Fernando Mendoza, Jeremiyah Love and Carnell Tate hear their names called and walk onto the draft stage as the next generation of NFL superstars.

It seems highly unlikely. The Raiders have stripped their quarterback room bare this offseason and, despite a handful of opinions suggesting otherwise, there are no other players at the position worthy of the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Mendoza is the kind of generational prospect that does not come along often, and every major mock draft has him going to Las Vegas at No.1.
But history tells us that no first overall pick is entirely safe from being traded.
