The Cheetah made some big predictions before the 2023 season.

The Miami Dolphins turned in another impressive performance in their Week 13 win over the Washington Commanders.

After three straight wins the Dolphins are now 9-3 on the season and well clear of the 6-6 Buffalo Bills in the race for the AFC East.

And while Miami's goals of reaching the postseason and potentially a Super Bowl remain on track, so do a couple of individual records.

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill made some bold predictions before the start of the 2023 season, one of which was to reach the Super Bowl.

The most ambition target, however, was to reach 2,000 receiving yards on the season - something no player has ever done before.

Before the season started, on 'It Needed To Be Said' podcast Hill stated: "2,000 yards was on my bucket list to get before I leave this league, y'all think the Cheetah is going to leave without doing something he promised himself he was going to do?"

While there are few wide receivers as good as Hill in the NFL, a 2,000 yard receiving season was a goal that many dismissed as impossible.

The NFL single-season record for receiving yards currently belongs to Calvin Johnson, whose record of 1,964 yards was set back in 2012.

However, after 13 weeks of the 2023 season, amazingly Hill is on track to complete his aim and become the first receiver to break 2,000 yards in a single season.

Another two-touchdown performance in Week 13 moved 'The Cheetah' onto 1,481 receiving yards in 2023 - the most of any player in the Super Bowl era through 12 games.

At his current rate, Hill will finish the regular season on an eye-watering 2,098 receiving yards.

Whether Hill can remain on track for the final six games of the regular season and achieve his goal remains to be seen, but more and more people are starting to believe it is possible.
