L'Jarius Sneed addresses injury rumours at Tennessee Titans unveilinggetty
The Super Bowl-winning cornerback was traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Tennesse Titans last month.

New Tennessee Titans cornerback L’Jaruis Sneed was forced to address speculation over his injury history at an introductory press conference on Tuesday.

After winning his second consecutive Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in February, the 27-year-old was traded to the Titans for a 2025 third round pick and a swap of seventh round selections in 2024.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid would admit that the salary cap forced his hand when it came to any hopes of keeping the defensive standout, with Sneed quickly signing an improved four-year, $76.4million contract in Tennessee.

That deal was a show of faith from the Titans in Sneed and came after media reports suggested that he has dealt with knee issues in recent seasons, despite him missing just three games since the 2020 season.

“Ain’t nothing wrong with my knee,” Sneed said when the issue was brought up in his introductary press conference.

“I’m fine. I played the whole season. Years before that I played as well. I had a couple problems before, but I’m good right now. Nothing is really wrong with the knee. . . . I know what to do with my knee. I’m coming out here to play ball.”

After a season which saw him play a key part in the Chiefs Super Bowl run, including excellent performances in the AFC Championship Game win over Baltimore and Super Bowl victory against San Francisco, the Titans clearly feel any historic issues Sneed has are a thing of the past.
