With Daniel Jones suffering a season-ending Achilles injury, and their season hanging in the balance, the 8-5 Indianapolis Colts find themselves with questions at quarterback. The answer may come in the form of 43-year-old Philip Rivers.
Late Tuesday, it was reported that the former Chargers and Colts gunslinger, who last played in the NFL in 2020, is dusting off his cleats and heading to Indy for a workout.
Here's what we know so far.

Time will tell whether the eight-time Pro Bowler can still sling it and bring the edge to Shane Steichen's offense that has been missing during their three-game slide.
But if one thing's for sure, at 44 years old and with over 63,000 career passing yards and 421 touchdowns, Rivers offers plenty of veteran leadership and experience.
Steichen is perhaps hoping the fiery disposition that became a hallmark of Rivers' 17-year career will be the jolt the Colts need to revive their postseason hopes.
Indianapolis are expected to start rookie Riley Leonard against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15, but after watching the 23-year-old go 18-of-29 and throw zero touchdowns to one interception in the loss to Jacksonville, the Colts clearly believe reinforcements are needed.
The questions hanging over Rivers' potential return are obvious: how much juice is left in the arm, how quickly can he knock off the rust, and does he actually represent an upgrade over Leonard?
For now, it’s still just a workout. But the fact that the Colts even made the call says everything about their willingness to make the kind of bold calls that could make or break their season.
