Berlin's Olympiastadion hosted its first-ever NFL regular-season game, and the teams taking part gave the fans everything they craved.
The Germany crowd watched Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor steamroll his way to 244 rushing yards and three touchdowns as he helped his side defeat the Atlanta Falcons in a tense 31-25 overtime thriller.
Already enjoying a season for the ages, Taylor’s latest heroics - his fourth three-touchdown outing in his last eight games - confirmed his dominance atop the league's rushers in 2025.
On top of that, Taylor’s 64th and 65th rushing touchdowns for the Colts pulled him level with, then past, Hall of Famer Edgerrin James on the franchise’s all-time list.
The Giants surrendered a 10-point lead in their loss to the Caleb Williams-led Chicago Bears, and head coach Daboll was let go shortly afterward.
"We spoke this morning about the direction of our franchise on the field," Giants president John Mara and chairman Steve Tisch said in a statement on Monday.
"We have decided that, at this time, it is in our best interest to make a change at the head coaching position."
The move wasn't entirely surprising. The Giants had just lost their fourth straight game, and just as worryingly, continued a trend of blowing leads.
Assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka will handle interim head coach duties while Jaxson Dart, the frontrunner for the Offensive Rookie of the Year, focuses on getting healthy after suffering a concussion.
Miami running back DeVon Achane stole the show, racking up 225 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns as the Dolphins stunned one of the favourites to win the Super Bowl.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns, but it was too little too late, as the offense was shut out in the first three quarters.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, under heavy scrutiny after the team’s rough start, added two first-half scores, while Jaylen Waddle chipped in 84 yards and a touchdown of his own to leave Sean McDermott’s Bills shell-shocked.
The win snapped a 1,141-day drought since Miami last took down Buffalo, and the Dolphins made sure to savour every second of the moment.
Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson has gone from a slow start to a full-blown hero for New England’s offense, erupting for 147 yards and two touchdowns in a statement performance that powered the Patriots to their seventh consecutive win as they downed Tampa Bay.
Quarterback Drake Maye did his bit, as he has so often this year, but it was Henderson who proved the difference-maker in this one.
The Baltimore Ravens' resurgence continued, with the much-maligned defense coming up big with two interceptions of Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy to help John Harbaugh's side record their third win in a row.
And on Monday Night Football, the Philadelphia Eagles outlasted the Green Bay Packers in a low-scoring affair to win their third straight, extending their lead over the NFC East and tightening their grip on what is, barring absolute late-season disaster, a postseason berth.
