Every offense is aiming to reach it, but how much do you really know about the NFL end zone?
DAZN News explains all.
The end zone is located at each end of the field, just beyond the goal line. There are two end zones, one for each team to defend or score into, and each runs the full width of the field.
They are marked out on all sides by a white line indicating their beginning and end points. There are also square orange pylons on each corner, which work as a visual aid.
All end zones in the NFL are 10 yards deep by 53 ⅓ yards wide.
A touchdown happens when a player has the ball in possession and either crosses into the opposing team's end zone while running or catches the ball while in the end zone.
The above criteria are also used if a team attempts to score a two-point conversion.
