A huge loss for the Indianapolis Colts as top cornerback Sauce Gardner is out for the remainder of Sunday's game versus the Houston Texas due to a calf injury, per the team.
There wasn't much indication how he injured his calf. Gardner was just backpedalling and pulled up injured.
Initially, Gardner had ruled questionable to return. But that changed quickly, as he was officially ruled out and placed in a boot.
Gardner was playing his third game for the Colts after being traded there by the New York Jets at the deadline. In those three games, Gardner 13 tackles and two passes defensed.
Currently, the Colts lead the Texans 7-3 in the second quarter.
