While winning a Super Bowl is one of the toughest achievements in sports, repeating as champion is even harder.

In the 57 previous editions of the big game, only seven teams have managed to win back-to-back Super Bowls. The Green Bay Packers got things started at the earliest possible juncture as they claimed victory in Super Bowls I and II. The Miami Dolphins followed suit as repeat champions a few years later, with the Pittsburgh Steelers (twice), San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and New England Patriots joining the ranks of back-to-back champs in subsequent years.

As the most recent winners of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to join the exclusive club. Should they defeat the 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII, the Chiefs will become the first back-to-back champions in 18 years.

That's the longest such drought in the NFL, and ending it would catapult the Chiefs into legendary status.
