At the NFL Honors evening, the NFL announce the season's MVP.
The MVP Award is one of world sport's most storied and coveted individual prizes.
But what is the MVP Award? Here is DAZN's explainer on the prize.
MVP stands for Most Valuable Player. It is awarded to the best, most valuable player for that season.
The Associated Press NFL MVP Award was first awarded in 1957. Since then, the NFL has recognized the AP award as the leading MVP Award.
Hall of Famer Peyton Manning has five NFL MVP Awards, the most in history.
Quarterbacks have won MVP 38 times. Running backs are second with 16. Two defensive players have won MVP, and Mark Moseley is the only kicker to win it. Quarterbacks have recently dominated this award. The last non-quarterback to win the MVP Award was Adrian Peterson in 2012.
Patrick Mahomes is the reigning NFL MVP.
Five candidates remain: Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Josh Allen, Brock Purdy, and Christian McCaffrey.
50 Associated Press and Pro Football Writers of America members will cast their votes for MVP. The player with the most points across all those votes will win the award.
