Six years after his boxing career came to an end, former super middleweight champion James DeGale returned to the combat sports world on Saturday night.
Instead of lacing up the gloves, DeGale stepped into the world of bare-knuckle, making his debut in the main event of BKFC 81.
Taking place in Manchester, DeGale went head-to-head with Australian Matt Floyd who boasted a 15-2 record as a professional boxer.
With UFC star Conor McGregor watching ringside, DeGale got his bare-knuckle career off to a winning start, beating Floyd by unanimous decision in what turned out to be a scrappy affair.
