Adam Azim is regarded as one of the best young fighters in the sport.
He brings an undefeated record of 13-0 with 10 knockouts heading into Saturday's fight against late-replacement Kurt Scoby on the undercard of the Chris Eubank Jr.-Conor Benn rematch from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, live and exclusive on DAZN PPV.
After fighting three times in 2023, Azim's only fought twice in 2024 and now 2025, respectively. In his lone 2025 outing to date, Azim scored the biggest win of his career by stopping former world champion Sergey Lipinets in the ninth round at the beginning of February. Azim is chomping at the bit for big fights with a plan already outlined for 2026.
"Hundred percent," Azim told DAZN during Tuesday's Grand Arrivals. "Like I’ve said before, I’ve not been very active. But I’m going to be very active. Then have another fight in January, February time before Ramadan. And then another one fighting in May."
Originally, Azim had been set to face Zaur Abdullaev. However, Abdullaev pulled out due to visa issues. In stepped Scoby (18-1, 16 KOs) on short notice. When comparing Abdullaev and Scoby, he gives the edge to his original foe due to his resume.
"Both of them are really tough," Azim said. "He’s no joke as well. He’s fought Devin Haney. He’s fought (Jorge) Linares. He has a good resume. Scoobee is very dangerous as well. I feel like Ankaliev was the harder fight. But, I’m not looking past Carl Scoobee because he’s in the way of me getting a world title."
