Kabayel tipped to 'reign supreme' as Joshua salutes German star
Anthony Joshua says Agit Kabeyel can "reign supreme" at heavyweight, urging him to "live up to the expectations" of his rivals.
The WBC interim title holder was ringside to challenge Oleksandr Usyk in Giza last month after the latter beat Rico Verhoeven.
Having waited for his title shot, the unbeaten star is keen to secure a crack at the Ukrainian and earn himself champion status.
Now, two-time kingpin Joshua has weighed in, suggesting Kabayel is primed for his chance - and that he could enjoy a long reign too.

"I think Agit is ready because he is calling for the Oleksandr Usyk fight," Joshua told the Mr. Verzace podcast on the German star.
"Agit has been around for a long time and he’s ready now. I can’t wait to see. I think he’ll be able to deal with that bullseye on his back.
"He’s got potential to reign supreme as a heavyweight. We haven’t seen any vulnerability. The difference is when you become champion.
"Agit has potential because he hasn’t shown it yet. We want to see him become champion to [...] live up to the expectations that we have."

It seems that the moment is almost here for Agit Kabayel. Either the German gets his title shot, or he gets his elevation to the full crown.
Oleksandr Usyk can only accept or vacate - and while his younger foe would surely rather face him, the Ukrainian has other options.
Should that be the case, there's no reason to assume Kabayel - a fighter who has shown few weaknesses - would not enjoy a long stint as champion.
Of course, matters are not that easy, and with Moses Itauma currently breathing down his neck on the WBC rankings, a banana-skin is already in play.
Kabayel will back himself fearlessly against any man however, of that you can be sure. Quite who will eventually face next though remains to be seen.
