Dillian Whyte will return to the ring on the undercard of Fabio Wardley’s homecoming show at Ipswich Town’s Portman Road on June 7, live on DAZN.
Wardley will face Australian Justis Huni at the home of his beloved Tractor Boys after his initial opponent Jarrell Miller pulled out with a shoulder injury.
And now it has been confirmed that Wardley’s manager Whyte will now provide a star turn further down the card.

The Jamaica-born 37-year-old has been absent from the ring since a seventh-round stoppage of Ebenezer Tetteh last December and had been targeting a statement win over Joe Joyce last month.
But Whyte was forced to withdraw after suffering a severe injury to his finger in training while Joyce was beaten on points by replacement opponent Filip Hrgovic.
Now fit again, Whyte’s opponent on the Portman Road bill has not yet been confirmed but, after being named on a shortlist of potential opponents for Anthony Joshua earlier this year, Whyte admitted that his long-term rival would be a “perfect opponent.”
Speaking at today’s press conference at Portman Road for the Wardley-Hunis heavyweight clash, Whyte said: “Obviously I was getting ready for April 5 [against Joyce] but a gym accident forced me to pull out.
“I still wanted to fight but my team pulled me out of the fight.
“I was thinking about it last night when I got offered the fight, for a lot of my big nights, Fabio was supporting me but it’s funny how life works, now I’m on the undercard.
“I’m looking for as big fight in the sumer which we are talking about.
“I could sit around and wait for the big fight but I’m not at that stage of my career, I want to be active. So let’s go, let’s get it on.”
Whyte has already fought both Joshua and Parker, losing to the former via stoppage back in 2015 before beating the latter on points in their 2018 12-rounder at the o2.
Whyte added: “I’m at that stage of my career where I want to be active.
“I just want to fight the best guys I can get and AJ and I have needle – and I think that will be a lifelong thing
“I’m sure AJ enjoys fighting me too and there’s Parker, Hrgovic and there’s a lot of guys around at the minute.
“Obviously [Deontay] Wilder’s coming back and I just want to fight the best guys.
“It would be good to have another rematch with Joe Parker if possible or someone else – AJ, another rematch, a trilogy – so that’s what I’m all about.”
