Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou: Former sparring partner for both fighters makes predictionMatchroom
The heavyweight clash takes place on March 8.

The opening bell is edging ever closer for the heavyweight fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.

When this fight was first announced for Joshua, it was one which raised eyebrows with some claiming that it could be a potential banana skin for the former world champion.

Ngannou may have only made his boxing debut in October against WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, but he did impress in the split decision loss and even managed to knock Fury down in the third round.

One fighter which has shared the ring with both Joshua and Ngannou is sparring partner Matty Harris.

Speaking in an interview with Seconds Out, Harris explained why Ngannou could be a threat to Joshua whilst also offering a prediction for the contest.

“AJ goes through him. The thing with Ngannou that is quite challenging I suppose, is his physical strength. He is incredibly physically strong," Harris said.

“You know when you first clash with someone, you get into that first clinch, I imagine that might have caught Fury by surprise. He’s an incredibly strong individual, when I met him, his abs were popping out through his top.

“I’ve never seen anyone built so strong. I remember when he grabbed me during a spar, in a little bit of a clinch, and I had never felt like such a victim in all of my life.”
