Anthony Yarde settled his trilogy affair with Lyndon Arthur in bruising fashion as the former emerged victorious by unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The pair, meeting for the third time as the co-main event to Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn's blockbuster grudge match, sought to settle their rivalry for good in the ring.
In front of a sold-out crowd hyped up for the showdown to follow however, their third bout proved surprisingly bereft of fireworks as the two went back and forth with the other.
Victory for Yarde makes it two consecutive triumphs over Arthur, having followed up a points loss in their first bout with a stunning fourth-round knockout in their second clash.
Almost three-and-a-half years since they last met however, any fight week animosity between the pair melted away at the final bell as they shared a warm smile and embrace.
Neither man could make too many clean shots across the first half of their contest, with Arthur seemingly working the ring to greater success across the opening exchanges.
But Yarde used a smaller canvas to his advantage and kept his opponent on the ropes several times across the latter stages, unleashing a slew of impressive combinations.
That proved enough for him to take the decision, with scorecards of 116-112, 116-112 and 115-113 seeing the star edge a frequently bruising contest to settle matters.
Both stars had fought unsuccessful light-heavyweight title challenges since their last encounter - Yarde against Artur Beterbiev and Arthur versus Dmitry Bivol.
With most of the division's major titles seemingly locked up for a trilogy bout between the pair, it means the winner here could next be in line to face Joshua Buatsi instead.
