A week after signing with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, Ben Whittaker's (9-0-1, 6 KOs) first fight with the promotion has been confirmed for November 29.
Taking place in Birmingham, Whittaker will be taking on Germany's Benjamin Gavazi (19-1-0, 13 KOs) in a light heavyweight contest.
This fight will mark the start of what Matchroom hopes will be a very active year or so for Whittaker with plans for 'The Surgeon' to fight four times before the end of 2026.
With Whittaker being a showman, he will want to put on a show in the West Midlands against Gavazi and use it as a platform to land some major bouts in what is set to be an exciting period for the light heavyweight division both domestically and internationally.
In addition to the announcement of Ben Whittaker's Matchroom debut, Eddie Hearn's promotion has also confirmed a Stateside fight card taking place later this year.
On December 13, rising American super middleweight Diego Pacheco (24-0, 18 KOs) is back in action for the third time in 2025 when he faces Kevin Lele Sadjo (26-0, 23 KOs) in Stockton, California.
Pacheco already has two wins under his belt this year, and this upcoming bout with Sadjo should present itself as a worthwhile test.
All but three of Sadjo's wins have come by way of knockout with some describing the Frenchman's in-ring style as the 'French Mike Tyson', therefore fans will get to see how Pacheco can fare against a big puncher.
These two shows form part of a stacked boxing schedule on DAZN for the rest of 2025 which includes Parker vs. Wardley, the Eubank Jr. vs. Benn rematch and the world light heavyweight title fight between David Benavidez and Anthony Yarde.
A DAZN subscription provides access to over 185 fights a year across a range of combat sports from the world's best promoters.
