DAZN News rounds up the biggest boxing stories on Friday, June 5.
Artur Beterbiev has put David Benavidez on blast after the American failed to honour a reported fight between them.
The former undisputed light-heavyweight champion was reportedly in line to meet the latter after beating Anthony Yarde.
But Benavidez instead moved to cruiserweight, where he dethroned Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez last month in Las Vegas.
“His team didn't expect me to agree so quickly, so they immediately changed their mind," Beterbiev was quoted by The Ring.
Benavidez's entourage however have disputed Beterbiev's claims, with David Benavidez Sr. suggesting the star is lying.
Having conquered a new division, 'The Mexican Monster' is expected to step back down to his old division for his next test.
“Nothing happened, but we still want to fight him,” Benavidez Snr was quoted by Boxing Scene. "They're lying [about it].
"We’re here to fight anybody. If Beterbiev’s ready, let’s make it happen. Who wants to fight? Let’s see. I think they’re all talk."
Cheavron Clarke believes his resume outstrips Jack Massey as the pair prepare to meet this weekend in Bournemouth.
The duo figure on the Chris Billam-Smith-Ryan Rozicki card that marks another move for the Zuffa promotion on British shores.
Massey has suggested in the build-up that he has Clarke's number, but the latter believes he has the advantage in their bout.
"I'm looking forward to it," he told Sky Sports News. "I've fought people at his level and I've beaten them. So let's get it on."
