Canelo disappointed by Crawford retirement

Canelo Alvarez admits he was disappointed by Terence Crawford's decision to retire before he could take a rematch.

The Mexican lost his undisputed super-middleweight crown to the American last September, who subsequently quit.

Quoted by The Ring on the decision, Canelo acknowledged frustration, adding: "I think the people deserve the rematch.

"But things happen. I learned a lot, I learned my lesson. I can't wait to come back. I'm going to look forward to my career."

Sanchez eyes Usyk sooner rather than later

Frank Sanchez hopes to take his mandatory IBF heavyweight shot against Oleksandr Usyk sooner rather than later.

The Cuban stopped Richard Torrez Jr. on Saturday to tee up a crack at the Ukrainian, but faces potential uncertainty.

Fury vs. Hall PPV

Manager Mike Borao hopes that a bout can be made between the two, but told Sky Sports News it is a waiting game.

"Our primary goal is to fight Usyk as soon as possible," he said. "We'll see how that develops over the next few weeks."

Krassyuk urges Usyk retirement after Rico

Former Oleksandr Usyk promoter Alex Krassyuk believes it is time for the star to hang up his gloves and retire.

The Ukrainian scored a late stoppage over Rico Verhoeven in Egypt, in one of his more laboured performances.

Now, Krassyuk has told Boxing King Media that he should call time, stating: "It concerns every one of us.

“I wish him to retire at his prime being remembered for ages, [as] one of the most greatest fighters of all time."
