DAZN News rounds up the biggest boxing stories on Wednesday, May 20.
Tyson Fury has revealed that he is targeting the month of August for a warm-up fight before his showdown with British rival Anthony Joshua.
Joshua is set to return to the ring on July 25 against Kristian Prenga, live on DAZN, before he prepares to face Fury.
"So, my fight plan this year is three fights,” Fury said on FurociTV.
“So it will be April, August, and whenever the big fight’s announced – either October, November.
"We haven’t got an opponent yet, but again: it’s never about the opponent; it’s just about me versus me, always."
If Fury and Joshua come through their respective summer bouts unscathed, the pair are expected to meet in late 2026 with Wembley Stadium mentioned as a possible venue.
Chris Eubank Sr. has once again voiced his concern for his son, Chris Eubank Jr's, health.
After recovering from his defeat in the rematch with Conor Benn last November, Eubank Jr. is a free agent and ready to return to the ring.
The two bouts with Benn in 2025 were gruelling affairs which saw Eubank Jr. having to boil himself down to the 160lb middleweight limit.
Speaking to Betway's Playbook Boxing, Eubank Sr. claimed his son was "shot".
“He’s shot. He’s spent," Eubank Sr. said.
"The boxing authorities, the boxing experts, everyone can see it, but no one’s paying attention to it. And I’m not going to be a party to that. I’ve got to stay alone. I’ve got to stay the lone ranger, for the rules.
"Only when the rules come back can we then produce a calibre of fighter that can excite us. I’m not talking about one or two, when we used to produce 15, 20, when we had the Fantastic Four, we had the eras of boxing.
“I have given my life to this. I only can wish Junior luck and mercy. It’s a very tricky world and it hasn't changed, yet. There’s a change coming.”
