Liam Smith is backing Conor Benn to level the series against Chris Eubank Jr. when the bitter rivals clash again on Saturday night, live on DAZN.
Smith, who shared two brilliant battles with Eubank Jr, has also been linked to a contest with Benn in the past and the former world champion knows both fighters very well.
In his first meeting with Eubank Jr., Smith caused a small upset as he became the first person to stop Eubank with an impressive victory over the Brighton man.
In the rematch, Eubank Jr. was able to get revenge as he produced one of the best performances of his career to dominate the contest before scoring a stoppage of his own.
Since that feud with Eubank Jr., Smith has been beaten by Aaron McKenna, and there has been some speculation that he could retire from boxing.
As it stands, his next move is still unconfirmed, but he has provided his verdict on who he thinks will win Saturday’s clash.
"The first fight was better than I expected. I expected Chris to win the first fight, but I thought Conor performed better than I expected,” said Smith when speaking to talkSPORT.
"I think I fancy Conor [to win the rematch] a little bit more than I did the first fight, and probably if you asked me to put my money where my mouth is, I think Conor might win this one."
Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn's much anticipated rematch is live and exclusive on DAZN PPV on Saturday, November 15. Buy for £24.99 UK / $59.99 US.
