'I'd smash them both' - Former British world champion fancies chances against Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn

Former IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook is confident he would have made easy work of Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn. 

Eubank Jr and Benn are set to meet at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday on DAZN PPV in an eagerly-anticipated grudge match.

Benn will be going up from welterweight, which was Brook's former weight class, to middleweight to face Eubank Jr. 

When asked by talkSPORT to give his prediction for the contest, Brook backed Eubank Jr and believes his experience against top level opponents will give him a key advantage. 

"In my opinion, I’ve got Eubank to win," Brook said.  

"But the weight’s an issue, what’s it going to have taken out of Eubank when he’s in the ring. 

"I slightly favour Eubank because he’s boxed at a bigger level, for me Conor has not boxed at that level as of yet."

Brook then exuded confidence when discussing how a bout against either Eubank Jr or Benn would play out if he was inside the ring. 

"I’d have smashed them both! Absolutely, it’s in my blood."

Brook is no stranger to British grudge matches. Three years ago, he went head-to-head with Amir Khan in a contest which had been demanded by British fight fans for years.

The Sheffield man beat Khan with a stoppage in round six in what turned out to be his final fight with Brook announcing his retirement shortly after.
